You're an apple

I have not been on blogger for about a week, because i have had a lot of trouble lately - which once again resulted in that i'm once again grounded and have to go straight home after school. No I-have-to-stay-a-little-bit-longer-because-i-have-to-make-homework-with-my-friends, no parties (I have cancelled 3 already), i only get max. an hour from school to be at the doorstep. I'm not allowed to be with my friends after school, only if they come to my place. I will be questioned every time somebody calls or text me.

and why did this happen ?      

Weeeeelll...... I know why, but to make it simple - My parents love me and want to keep an eye on me.

Today's topic is: Le pomme.

I get why many like Apple products - the sleek timeless design, the light weight, the bright and deep colors, the compressor is fast and so is the browser, but I would still prefer other brands. 

I understand why Apple makes their products compatible only to their own products, but i loathe it!

My loving mother got me a surprise and my reaction crushed her heart. 

She prepared everything. She cleaned the kitchen desk and placed it right in the middle and she waited for me to come home to see my face. All I had to say was: Hey there's a mac on the table. theres a mac. Good  for you mom, you needed a new one. I hate mac. "

I am a proud owner of an LENOVO IBM THINKPAD T60 with Intel Centrino Duo, Windows 7 ultimate, with a "lousy" hard disc with 74.4 GB, but an awesome finger roller/scanner, a disc driver that can read dictionary CD's and install the programs. most important - windows have the biggest platform for any kind of files from the internet and CD's. 

I hate the browser and i hate the fact that i have spend at least 15 minutes to find out how to write the symbol "\".

Maybe in order to kill the bad mood, and make my "itisnotactuallyarviewijustdidnotknowwhattocallit-review"and make it more fair for "Apple lovers". I'm a "okay Apple"...

Thumps up:

Timeless design

weights like nothing

The screen blinks instead of an annoying small lamp next to the webcam.

It has a lot of space - well i think so because i can't find where i can the properties for the hard disc.

The light adjustments for the keyboard

The cool options for the trackpad 

That the charger has a magnetic lock

the vibrant colors of the screen

you can have more than one desktop

I like that every time you install a program you would have to write a password(effective when someone want's to borrow you computer, but secretly use it to install HoN and you have not give permission)

The automatic spellchecker (Chrome did a good job too)

It's name .... Hello?! It's not a Laptop! It's a BOOK! so you have to hold it like a book !!#

Meh:

They still lose to windows because they don't have their own answer of an Office pack, but people loves windows office anyway. 

you can't have more than one safari window open (i like to organize my browsers in; school, bloguniverse and beyond, need2reed etc.)

It's often that the browser is snail-slow... really slow when i have more than 11 tabs/pages open

I HATE THAT EVERTIME I MARK A TEXT I HAVE TO COPY IT INSTEAD OF PULLING AND MOVING IT WITH THE CURSOR. I KNOW THAT I CAN MOVE T BUT I CAN'T SCROLL DOWN AT THE SAME TIME AND THAT'S MY PROBLEM DUDE !!!

what the hell is wrong with the size and shape of the charger ? - it's like 2 centimeter thick, diskette shaped brick that can't even balance ? Someday for sure it will be screwed. and most likely DIRTY.

The extra stuff like a mouse, an extra charger etc. cost like the wheels of your car. 

I feel paranoid, now that i have a webcam (again), so i have to tape a piece of paper to cover it(again).

I hate the options for the keyboard. WHATTHEECK IS COMMAND ? CTLR's cousin ? and where is DELETE!? T___T Why is @ not together with 2 anymore, did they break up or something ?

MSN Messenger is ugly, and I can't have the essential pack and the Windows Live writer which I use for my blog entries, and because there is no free blog-program available, I can't customize the size of my pictures.
Does Paint for Mac exist ? or just a free program that can crop your pictures ? BECAUSE THE PICTURE VIEWER SUCKS!#%&

I don't know how to make a shortcut for my pictures and music files and other folders.

Isn't it ironic... if you did not know already i am the unaware, not proud partial owner of freaking 5 Apple products.

- I have an iPad that i share with my siblings(On iTunes it is called "Emtie's iPad and why the heck does the grammar settings spell all apple products with big initials automatically but not the brand-name itself?)"

- I have an iPhone( which on iTunes is named Emtienism's HTC", because i really really REALLY wanted an HTC but ended up with... yeah a brick from the wall)

- I have an iPod nano square version and my uncle from US bought it to me when i visited him back in 2006.   I have to admit that i loved this one back then because then i could secretly watch all my asian drama's at night, because my mother told me to put my laptop away. It was great times with a huge lack of sleep and a bigger amount of princess pink dreams ( you don't know how many times i re-watched the episodes of Hana Yori Dango also known as Boys before flowers just in Japanese version). I was told i could keep about 8 movies which is about 20 hours of films if i had no music files on it. I had 89 hours of TV-drama episodes and that was like more than 4 seasons.   

- Then what is the fourth ? I know that you know it's a Macbook as i have mentioned. which one ? the 17" MacBook Pro. 

- I have an apple.. yes seriously . IT'S A GOLDEN DELICIOUS HOW CAN THAT NOT COUNT IN?"%€

Sad but true. a person who has this many Apple products, doesn't like them and has not asked for them, but still gets them. 

I think i have said it before... iPhones are the most un-personal smartphone on the market, yet it is the one the firms make most apps available to, but they would have to consider it again, because about every second person that owns an smartphone is with android, which means they dominate about 50% of the global market. Apple dominates about 20%.  

There is one thing i like about iPhones  and that's .... The apps? .. Yeah only the apps.. No not the front camera feature - the quality sucks for blogging...

Back to the point: Their photography apps and i found this awesome quote from Xiaxue's blog that says it all:

"Not only is it fun, you are saved the hassle of transferring them to your computer and you can even do the editing on the toilet bowl, then immediately post them onto twitter/facebook/tumblr etc to get the attention you crave. Oh and I forgot to mention there is a front facing camera so of course the photos look great! It's a fucking winning formula and I'm loving it!"

To end this madness: I LOVE LENOVO, I LOVE WINDOWS, I LOVE SMARTPHONES WITH ANDROID AND I LOVE THEIR SOFTWARE NAMES: (gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice cream sandwich etc.) AND I BEG THAT SAMSUNG STILL WANTS TO COOPERATE WITH GOOGLE, AND NOT MAKE THEIR OWN OPERATING SYSTEM   !!!####I HATE THAT EVERYTIME I MARK a text, I AHVE TO COPY IT INSTEAD OF PULLING IT WITH THE CURSOR !!!
HARD TO ADMIT IT BUT I LOVE APPLE JUST AS MUCH AS EVERYTHING ELSE I HAVE MENTIONED. IT'S A DEEP CONFESSION

but for now... I'm going to cry myself to sleep while reading a story from Homers - Odysse because i have let my little sister have my TV moved in to her room. THERE IS STAR TREK ON TONIGHT !!! T__T

Monday morning update:

So i just found out that my knowledge about a MacBook is way too limited, to be useful as a review of this "applesome" product - I'm the worse guideline.
And today i just learned a lot about the features from my classmates that has a MacBook - I will have to blog a new post after a month or two with this monster .... okay okay i got it ! - nice tone ...
